🗓️ Complete and Detailed Itinerary

📅 Day 1 – Surabaya / Malang ➝ Tumpak Sewu ➝ Bromo

00.00 – 06.00
Participants are picked up at the meeting point in Surabaya or Malang (airport, station, hotel).
Travelling to Pronojiwo (Tumpak Sewu) around 5-6 hours.
🚌 Rest & light breakfast on the way (rest area / local stall).

06.30 – 07.00
Arrive at Tumpak Sewu parking area, short briefing with local guide.

07.00 – 09.00
Trekking to Panorama Point Tumpak Sewu, enjoying the majestic view of the waterfall from the top of the cliff.
Continue down the valley path to reach the base of Tumpak Sewu.
Experience the cool humid air, soft mist, and the roar of the waterfall – the most epic moment for pictures.

09.00 – 11.00
Enjoy the atmosphere at the base of the waterfall, then climb back up to the car park.
The journey up takes extra effort, so be sure to bring drinking water and non-slip footwear.

11.00 – 12.00
Clean up & change clothes in the rinse area.

12.00 – 13.00
Lunch at local restaurant in Pronojiwo area.

13.00 – 18.00
Travelling to the hotel in the Bromo area (Cemoro Lawang / Tosari), about 5 hours drive.
Along the way you can stop at panoramic rural and plantation spots.

18.00 – 19.00
Check-in hotel, dinner, and rest.
(Prepare warm clothes as the temperature in Bromo can reach 10-13°C at night.)

📅 Day 2 – Sunrise Bromo ➝ Banyuwangi (Ijen Area)

02.30 – 03.00
Wake up early, prepare for the sunrise trip.
Jeep 4×4 driver will pick up directly in front of the hotel.

03.00 – 04.00
Jeep trip to Penanjakan View Point / Kingkong Hill .
Enjoy the starry sky and cool mountain air (4–8°C).

04.30 – 05.30
Wait and watch Bromo’s spectacular sunrise, set against the iconic backdrop of Mount Batok, Semeru and the misty expanse.

05.30 – 07.00
Turun menggunakan Jeep menuju Lautan Pasir Bromo.
Trekking atau naik kuda menuju Kawah Bromo, nikmati pemandangan kaldera luas dan asap putih yang keluar dari kawah aktif.

07.00 – 08.00
A visit to Pura Luhur Poten, a cultural heritage of the Tengger people.
This spot is also very photogenic with a backdrop of a sea of sand and towering mountains.

08.00 – 09.00
Back to the hotel for breakfast, shower and check-out.

09.00 – 15.00
Travel to Banyuwangi / Bondowoso (Ijen area).
On the way can stop for lunch and short break.

15.00 – 17.00
Arrive at hotel in Ijen area, check-in and rest.

19.00 – 20.00
Dinner at the hotel, then an early night to prepare for the midnight Ijen climb.

📅 Day 3 – Kawah Ijen Blue Fire ➝ Surabaya / Malang

00.00 – 00.30
Wake up early (midnight), prepare to head to Kawah Ijen basecamp.

00.30 – 01.30
Journey to Paltuding Post (Ijen climbing base camp).

01.30 – 03.30
Start trekking to the top of Ijen (about 3 km).
It takes ±2 hours with an uphill but safe path.

03.30 – 05.00
Enjoy the Blue Fire phenomenon at the bottom of the crater (if conditions are safe and possible).
Blue light from naturally burning sulphur gases – a rare phenomenon that only exists in two places in the world!

05.00 – 06.30
See the sunrise & panoramic view of Ijen crater lake from the summit.
The turquoise colour and sulphurous smoke create a breathtaking view.

06.30 – 08.00
Descend back to basecamp, rest, and have breakfast.

08.00 – 13.00
Travelling back to Surabaya / Malang.
On the way stop for lunch.

13.00 – 16.00
Arrive at destination city. Trip is over.

• Trekking shoes, warm clothes, gloves and a light raincoat are recommended.
• Blue Fire depends on weather conditions & mountain activity.
• Physical condition must be fit, especially for trekking Tumpak Sewu & Ijen.
• The schedule is subject to change according to field conditions (weather, traffic, manager’s policy).
• Use a lightweight backpack instead of a large suitcase.
